Plainfield, Indiana Speed Traps

Watch out for cops hanging out behind the water tower in Plainfield. They sit in the shadow behind the fire department facing north down clarks creek rd. I’ve seen many people getting tickets as they are coming home from work… Clarks creek road has a terribly low speed of 20mph only recently raised to 30 (not 35! so pay attention!). Plainfield cops are very strict and will give you a ticket for being 5mph over the limit! good luck in this area!

Be careful as you are going east on Stafford road, past all the warehouses before you go down the incline apporaching 5 Points Road. You cannot see the patrol car until it is too late and they have you nailed by that time. The speed limit is 35mph and should be at least 40 in that area. People tend to speed on all of Stafford east of 267 and it’s become a cash machine for the town of Plainfield!
