Louisville, Kentucky Speed Traps
Furman Boulevard near Between Taylorsville and Hikes Lane
Furman Blvd is 25 miles an hour and noone goes this rate of speed! There is always an unmarked/marked cop car siting either on a side street or on Furman itself. They will pull you over going 6+ over the speed limit so watch it!
Pee Wee Reese Street near next to the walking track in Seneca Park
He hides behind a tree and gets you for only ten over. Watch out. Don’t go above 30 just to be safe.
Interstate 264 near Newburg Lane
From Poplar Level Rd to Bardstown Rd. Watch the inside emergency lane, especially after curves. Look for unmarked Camaros. You can sit and watch them pull over one right after another all afternoon.
7th Street near Arcade Avenue
Louisville has a sub-city called Shively, KY which borders on areas of 7th Street. It is a four lane two-way street with a continous turning lane with posted speed limits of 35MPH, 45 would still be safe. Shively police constantly has a unit clocking between Berry Blvd and Arcade Avenue. It is a money grabber for the small city. Almost always marked car, will U-turn in an instant.
Interstate 71 near Zorn Avenue
I-71 N and S near the Zorn Avenue exit watch out for any color Camaro but usually a dark blue or gray. The speed limit is 55 but it is almost impossible to go 55 on that road. Watch for them between lunch time (when I got busted) and PM Rush Hour. They are usually in the grassy area in between N and S hiding behind the guard rail so you don’t see them until you right on him. Sometimes there are even two of them.
