Rt 29 Northbound (under the Rt 216 Bridge)
The police park on the left shoulder in the northbound lane directly under the RT 216 bridge. They open their trunk to mask their rooftop lights. They shoot you with radar as you crest the hill just before the 216 overpass. Very tough to see them because of the shade under the bridge. Happens once or twice a month.
US 29 southbound around 175 and broken land pkwy
they sey up and shoot you between 100 and 175 then have unmarked cars give out tickets as soon as they can catch you.
US Rt 29, between Md Rt 32 and Md Rt 216
There is a Howard County police substation at the intersection of Rt 29 and Rt 216. Howard County police especially like to cruise southbound on Rt 29, shooting northbound traffic between Rt 216 & Rt 32.
Rt 175 @ Rt 108
As you travel on 175 from the Dobbin Center area towards 95 you will crest a small hill and left bend in the road as you pass Gateway Drive. Howard County’s finest set up on the left shoulder shooting radar/laser. Then hop into the middle of the road and pull you over prior to the left turn lanes for Rt 108. Beware when cresting the hill. Also Beware when driving in the Gateway office park!!!
