Inkster Road between 5 Mile and 7 Mile Roads – various spots

Redford, MichiganJul 08, 20030 Comments

They sit just off the main road on various side streets along Inskter between 5 Mile Road and 7 Mile Road, sometimes they’re on Puritan (east side of Inkster, north of Bell Creek Park), sometimes the almost hidden road on the west side of Inskter (also north of Bell Creek Park). Quite often, though, (especially during the mid-day and p.m. rush hour) they’re on the little ‘side street’ on the west side of Inkster between 6 Mile and 7 Mile Road.

7 Mile Road east of Inskter Road.

The speed limit changes from 45 MPH to 35 MPH when you cross Inskter and they like to sit in the parking lots of businesses along either side of 7 Mile, especially the flower shop on the southeast corner and the now empty Ace Hardware the next lot east of the flower shop.

Beech Daly and 5 mile (Downtown Redford)

Usually they’re in the parking lot on the West side of Beech Daly, just North of 5 mile. They get people all the time, because it’s a downtown area (albeit small) and the speed changes.

m24 (telegraph rd) north bound between Plymouth rd and I96 freeway

Redford, MichiganJul 31, 20020 Comments

Driving north bound on telegraph in a comercial area (telegraph is a 8 lane divided high way with sparse stop lights in this area) just north of plymotuh rd you go down a hill under a railway bridge. This causes you to build speed. (limit is way under posted at 45mph) theres a turn around on the other side of the bridge and the officer sits there (on over time im sure) and gets you with a laser for any 2 or 3 mph over.

The officers (Redford and Livonia, the border) sit on the hidden side streets and radar cars, you don’t see them until you are busted.
