Redford, Michigan Speed Traps

They usually sit either n or s of the bridge at Rougeway, Meadowbrook,and Sunnydale majority of the time on the Livonia side just behind the stop signs on the side streets shooting laser, Sat. mornings are the worst and they will get you if you are doing 5mph or better, I always set the cruise at about 41-42

traffic flow moderate, sat 1:00pm most vehicles subcompacs-small suv’s, my truck f150 with roof rack. keeping up with traffic flow, but trucks size makes for an easier target’
city is redford and is notorious for speed traps. especially since the municipalities require quotas or they peanilize the police.

Watch out on the stretch between PLymouth Road and I-96. Pigs like to sit at bottom of hill and tag you with laser. Very easy to speed on this wide open stretch of Telegraph and like previous posters said, will right you up for 1 over posted. Redford must be a real desperate city.

Just past 5 Mile going South on Telegraph they sit 2 to 4 patrol cars on side streets where speed drops from 45mph to 35mph and getting alot of violators. This trap can support the city it’s self. Thats how bad they are. They like impeding tickets so you will pay. It’s like a tag team.

I have been stopped twice on 7 Mile west of Beach. The limit is 35mph. The officers said I was going faster than 45 mph. Both tickets were given for impeding traffic and not speeding. They said there are no points and therefore not increased insurance rates. The officer did threaten me that if I went to court he would charge me with the speeding ticket. I just paid the tickets.
