Coon Rapids, Minnesota Speed Traps
Hanson Blvd, right before the railroad tracks heading towards cr blvd.
Right before the railroad tracks as your heading towards Coon Rapids Blvd an officer likes to sit right in front of the small apartment complex. In the morning is prime time that they sit there.
Coon Rapids Blvd/Coon Rapids Blvd Ext.
As you drive N/NW on Coon Rapids Blvd, there is a bridge/hill immediately prior to the T-intersection at CR Blvd/CR Blvd Ext. Police Officers like to sit at the intersection, behind a ridge, waiting to trap speeders. At the same intersection, there are also signs prohibiting certain turns from 4 pm to 7 pm, Mon-Fri. Officers also have a brutal knack for ticketing anyone who makes these turns, regardless if it’s 1 minute after 4 pm, or 1 minute before 7 pm.
Highway 10
When traveling west/east on Highway 10 after dark, there is, the majority of the time, a patrol car sitting down in the bank, usually right before/after Hanson Blvd. I’ve seen it many nights.
Northbound on Hanson Blvd after crossing the railroad tracks.
When going northbound on Hanson Blvd., and after passing the railroad tracks, be aware of Mr. Officer that sits in the Epiphany parking lot. Because of the trees and other obstructions, near the tracks and after, you don’t really see him until it’s tooooo late. The speed limit is 45mph, but I believe that between 3pm-5pm, it is 35mph.
Highway 10 E right before Hanson Blvd exit
Trooper waits for speeders in the median.
