Saint Paul, Minnesota Speed Traps
Dale Street, South of Larpenteur Avenue
The police are out there two or three times a week, if the weather is good, unmarked cars and motorcycles. They run the operation like an assembly line, one guy with the radar, and other cops around the corner giving tickets. I live a couple of blocks away, but avoid that street.
Dale Ave between Larpenteur and Minnehaha
At least 4 times a week, law enforcement officers frequently sit at hot spots between Larpenteur and Dale on thru Dale and Minnehaha (Hoyt and Dale is a very hot spot where they sit) They are generally out there beginning at 7:05 a.m. — you will also see them in the early evening around 5:30pm too. Oh, and the cars are usually unmarked (not your average patrol car).
Bridge from Lake Street in MPLS to Marshal Ave in St. Paul
Mpls has a speed limit of 30 MPH on their half of the bridge. St. Paul has a speed limit of 35 on their half of the bridge. St. Paul usually parks 2 squads and laser tag drivers in the 30 MPH zone just as it goes to 35 so you are dead meat coming over the hump of the bridge if you are speeding.
Cretin At Mississippi St. in front of St. Thomas
Police stand behind the pine trees and radar you then pull you behind the trees where 10 other cars have been pulled over.
