I-680 And Maple St.

Omaha, NebraskaApr 17, 20100 Comments

Highway patrol will park their car on the overpass on maple behind the signs, and shoot the radar gun over the top. They will have a line of cars on the on-ramp to whichever direction they are tracking. The sign blocks the car perfectly, and the cop can see just over the top!

96 & Louis Drive

The Cops sit at Louis Drive catching everyone headed to Westroads. It’s a downhill road, so its impossible to go the speed limit. The Cops make their quota in no time!

Maple Street between 204 and 168th

Speed limit is an unbelievable 45 mph for this four lane divided highway. Cops sit on entering streets, both sides of road and in the medians multiple times each week. Seriously, this is a cash cow for the police and state patrol. Far lower speed limit than other similarly structured roadways, most of this is undeveloped land. I know people who simply choose to take another route as this is completely ridiculous speed limit for this type of roadway.
