Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy

Heading West on Beaverton Hillsdale Highway I have seen a white van (I believe to be Photo Radar) on the right hand side. The van is often parked in front of a plaza which houses a few restaurants. This is across from or right before Jesuit High School. I have seen the van parked in the front row of the lot in front of the building. The parking spaces are at an angle and are only a few feet from the road. If you are going West, Jesuit High School will be on the left and the plaza will be on the right. I have seen the van here a few times a week around 2pm but am not sure if the speed limit if strictly enforced. Posted Speed limit is 35mph, though I usually do 40 and slow down when nearing this location.

Beaverton Hillsdale Highway (Hwy 10)

It appears that they park the radar vehicle in the 45 mph zone, and get people for speeding over the ensuing 30 mph zone that comes up relatively quickly. On a dark night, that could be missed.

I-5 and Multnomah Blvd. (top of the Terwilliger curves)

Portland, OregonJul 22, 20030 Comments

A motorcycle unit will sit on the Multnomah Blvd overpass with 5+ patrol units lined up and pick off people headed Northbound. This is a good trap for the cops as it’s about 100 yards past a 50 mph sign, and there is another overpass if front of the Multnomah Blvd overpass so you can’t see them even if you know to be looking.
