Cleveland, Tennessee Speed Traps
Interstate 75 near Exit Number 20 and 25
Approaching exit 20 northbound there is a thicket of trees in the median. Troopers hang out behind the trees and shoot radar.
Southbound on 75 about 1/2 mile after exit 25 county mounties sit in a hollow in the median and shoot radar.
Interstate 75 near Mile Marker 19
Between exit 20 and 25 traps have been seen several times a month. I would figure atleast once a week I see a trooper in this area.
I-75 North of Cleveland
Beware the pull-offs for "Authorized Vehicles Only" going both North and South, particularly between miles 28 and 36. I travel this stretch on a daily basis and I see a cop sitting in one of the pull-offs almost every day. A pull-off on the south side around mile 30 seems to be a particular favorite spot, especially around afternoon rush hour.
I-75 N Mile Marker 53
There is a bridge several mile before this. Motorcycle patrolmen are frequently seen here. This stretch of road is currently marked "Road Construction" even though there is no road construction. Thanks to the NMA’s defense kit, I now know that in order for it to be a work zone, there actually have to be workers present. They’ll pull you over for doing 65 (posted speed limit is 55 because it’s a ‘work zone’), tell you that normally the fine is double (work zone/bridge combo) then ‘be nice’ by giving you a ticket for 80 in a 70.
