October 2008 on different days the same Carrollton cop drove along Perry Rd. from near cemetery – past elementary school, past Beltline Rd. to Crosby Rd, turned left onto Crosby Rd, past Turner High School to Josey Lane and made a left turn onto Josey Lane. Posted speed Perry Rd to Crosby Rd: 30 mph. Posted speed Crosby Rd to Josey Lane: 30 mph.

The speed limit on PGBT is lower through Carrollton. Police often stop motorists who didn’t notice the decreased speed limit. Be careful!

Wednesday 02-03-09 8:30am CPD police car parked at entrance of mosque and facing the southbound traffic on Kelly Blvd. CPD cop sits in police car and point his speed gun on drivers going from Keller Spring through the middle school (school zone time till 8:30am) to Josey Lane. Posted speed limit is 40 mph on Kelly Blvd. the railroad track slow down drivers somewhat.

10am 02/23/09 Crowley Dr. / Old Denton Rd. Official posted speed is 40 mph on Old Denton Rd. CPD motorcop sits and waits on Crowley Dr. for speedsters. Once the Old Denton Rd. is done, the CPD motorcop will return to this area to catch speedsters for ticket bonuses. Another area the motorcop likes is the Jackson Rd. / Old Denton Rd. and waits on Jackson Rd. to catch speedsters on Old Denton Rd. When is the city going to complete the middle strip of Old Denton Rd. ? The road area at Whitlock / Old Denton Rd. is a mess !!!

A radar is in place on a side street just south of Blanton Elementary, shooting north or south…the speed limit is 30, and if you are driving north around the curve by the Amphitheater, it is natural to step on it”and be going 40 without even realizing it…Be Aware! 30 only!
