Dallas, Texas Speed Traps
Midway Road near Merrell Road
Usually at least two cruisers and/or a bike cop sit out of veiw behind large bushes on the right just before a traffic light between Walnut Hill and Merrell. One cop mans the radar and motions over cars that stop at the light while another writes the tickets. The guy at the radar is usually a big bald black guy. They pull over cars in groups, which I’m pretty sure is illegal.
Walnut Hill Lane near Midway Road
Westbound Walnut Hill. A bike cop hides behind a tree about a block before Midway and walks out in front of you and stops you.
Interstate 408
The police officer sits in the ditch in the middle of the hiway so he can get anyone on either side.
Central Expressway near just south of mockingbird on the access road
south on the central expressway access road, when you pass mockingbird the cop is on the right with a tripod laser gun pointed right in your direction about a thousand feet down on a side street, and dont keep on going if he waves you over because there is another cop in a car ready to chase after you
Interstate 635 Eastbound near Forest Lane
Almost every morning, there is a State Trooper (Camaro) sitting somewhere between Forest Ln. and Jupiter on Eastbound 635. I know that’s a broad spectrum, but he moves constantly. 65 is a safe speed, but avoid going too far over that. The hills sometimes make him difficult to spot.
