They recently moved the barriers surrounding the HOV lane mostly eliminating the left shoulder on a good stretch of 59, but there is a nook big enough for a laser-wielding officer to set up right after the chimney rock overpass. He frequents a long stretch of 59 south from Shepherd all the way to the beltway around 3pm as of the past few weeks. there is another nook in the westpark curve as well.
