State Highway 114 near 12 Loop
When exiting Loop 12 to HWY 114 Eastbound, Irving police are waiting over the hill at the school zone. Normal speed 45, school zone 30. The thing is there is a school zone sign, then 15 feet is a 45 mph speed limit sign, then another 50 feet another school zone sign and then 150 feet another 45 mph sign. Can be very confusing.
Walnut Hill Road near Corporate Drive
Heading away from MacArthur towards NorthLake College entrance.
Topping the hill at the OmniAmerican Bank on the right, you’re lined up exactly with the cop in the parking lot. Trouble is, your eyes tend to look down the hill and towards the left (to follow the road course) and you miss him entirely. K-band radar.
He’s in the Carrier Air Conditioning business parking lot pointed at the crest of the hill at the bank.
Only reason I know about him is my V1 detector.
Enforcment varies, but overall average is 2-3 days out of every M-F.
