Irving, Texas Speed Traps

Motorcycle+Laser, Eastbound 114, under Beltline bridge, 9:30am

All the lights are timed so you have to go about 10mph over the speed limit to catch them.
It is not uncommon to see half a dozen police cars patrolling a stretch of road about 2 miles long.

There is also a redlight camera southbound at Pioneer.

Beltline Road going North or South between highway 114 & 161 cops are always pulling people over! Especially in the evening. If you are not speeding they will pull you over for little things…frame around license plate etc. Be careful!

Southbound at the end of the George Bush Tollroad where it becomes SH161. It is at the crest of an overpass. Speed limit is 60 but flow of traffic is 70+ and there are 4 wide open lanes.

Travelling from Northlake College, westbound along Walnut hill. Going over the last hilltop before Walnut x MacArthur light controlled intersection. Motorcycle cop parked in the shelter of the opening in the median for the strip mall, and the Amerisuites hotel drive, nabbing anybody coming over the hilltop too fast. Fully visible location, but very short range, only 100 yards from hilltop to cops parking. Walnut hill is 3 lanes in each direction, with bends, and hilltops. Technically speaking, the cop is parked in the Walnut & Executive Dr intersection, which would be illegal, unless emergency.
