Interstate 12North near Interstate between 30 and 183

Irving, TexasFeb 19, 20081 Comments

Coming up busy 12N at 1230 on a Friday. Surrounded by cars and we are all going 70-80 but the sign is 60 for this 8/9 lane divided interstate. Cop standing by car in median with laser/radar gun shoots, flicks lights on and points at me for 81 in a 60! I’m moving with traffic as is safe, but still out $290! Slowing to 60 in that flow would be like throwing a bolder into a fast moving river — messy! And don’t let them tell you “plead Nolo Contenda and the court will just charge you with an admin fee.”” That’s the price of the ticket! “

Interstate 161 North near Beltline Road

Irving, TexasDec 15, 20070 Comments

Going north from 183 onto 161 tollway SERVICE ROAD just past Beltline intersection; motorcycle cops await speeding vehicles(They are hidden down the hill on the left). I’ve seen them stop all lanes of traffic to get the vehicle in the far right lane to pull over to the left side. Be careful I see them mostly in the AM but theres always the possibility of a shift change.
