Chesapeake PD, being far from any real enforcement have set up on 17 N and S at Ballahack Rd. a need for 65 speed limit is valid. Chesapeake makes money in lieu of TOLLs missed on 168
Gust Lane near Deep Creek Boulevard
Radar on Deep Creek Blvd and Gust Lane because of speed limit change.Plus they sat there and watch for other things like stop signs. Chesapeake has a bad rep for giving so many tickets. Watch yourself going though Chesapeake. I try not to drive in Chesapeake,so I spend my money in other cities and towns.
Shell Road near US Highway Military
Every weekday in the late mornings and early after noons,
a marked car sits in a church parking lot butt up against a wooden fence and gets around 5 or 6 speeders.
168 Expressway near Last exit before toll
10 or 12 police cars out to pick up all tourists after the last local exit before the toll road. Picking up everyone on the way to Outer Banks. Speed limit is posted 55 mph for a limited excess highway for which they charge $2 after they ticket you for speed.

Speed limit is 35 and they have radar set about 38 stop lots of cars.This is a regular spot for radar just about any day and time. The spot is 1300 block of George Washington Hwy N.between Temple Baptist Church and Lillians Seafood Restaurant. They sit in the church parking lot.
