Rosendale, Wisconsin Speed Traps
westbound 23 to ripon
Squad with radar sitting on eastbound shoulder watches westbound vehicles that pass through speed zones that go from 30 to 45 to 55 MPH in a relatively short stretch. They got us when accelerating through this area by saying that we were not yet out of the 30 zone when we were clocked at 48 (18 over). Hubby lost four points; fine was $125.
On state hwy 26 south of TC
Cop just sits in unmarked car where passing lane starts.
He gets you as you are passing another vehicle
West of main intersection
I sent this email to the clerk, fire dept and police clerks.
My name is Joe Carlson. I live in Reno Nevada . I was driving 45 in a 45 mph zone when ticketed by your authority. You treat innocent folks and out of towners with little compassion since we have out of state licenses and will never return. The authority you posses is abusive. You lack civility.
I was driving 45 (subjective constable wrote 50) in a 45 zone but you also have a 30 mph sign just seconds before the 45 zone. You know it, so that was a waste of typing. My point is that you are systematically defrauding people of their just wages ($150 for me) and you do it as a business. I know of 4 in a short time, that suffer from your fraud. It becomes spiritual fraud when a man who is laboring to support his family is stripped of a wages from a few days work, to finance your scheme. This is disrespect and fraud. I pity you and I pray for you. It’s an abuse of public service. Please contemplate how defrauding a laborer of his just wages should be stopped by the civil.
Your scheme is covered in the National Motorist Association.
Joe Carlson
You need to consider civility.

Hwy’s 26 & 23 in any direction
I guess the Village of Rosendale is the speed trap. This small community has its streets WELL posted! The 2 main roads are posted 30 mph. Until you pass the speed sign of 45 or 55 it is still legally 30. If you drive within the speed limit you will be just fine. And they don’t “HIDE”…they sit on the side of the road, parking lots and yes sometimes at the end of residence drives. But, always were you can see them. If you are paying attention!!
Hwy 23
DO NOT GO A SINGLE MILE OVER THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT. My mother lives 15 minutes from here, and has warned me early on to not go over the posted speed limit. They have T-shirts in the gas stations that mock those that were given a speeding ticket in Rosendale. 95% of the time that I drive through here there is a cop sitting and watching down one of the few side roads off of Hwy 23 – they don’t have anything better to do. The people behind you will get impatient – Let them! This is such a tiny town that slowing down and going the exact speed limit will not take more than a couple minutes, and you’ll save yourself hundreds of dollars. They will give an out of state driver a ticket for going as little as 2 miles over the posted limit.
