Vancouver, British Columbia Speed Traps
McGill exit from Hwy 1
On sunny days they hide behind the New Brighton Pool sign with radar and pull cars into the parking lot. At night a black unmarked cruiser sometimes sits at the entrance to the parking lot aiming his radar from the cruiser window. They always get lots of speeders because the entire exit ramp is posted 50kmh but most drivers are travelling faster.

Victoria and SW Marine DR to Marine Way + Boundary
Heading east on SW Marine Dr you start to see speed traps starting from Victoria Dr and SW Marine Dr. The first trap heading eastbound is usually between Gladstone and SW Marine Dr. The old Vikki Mart (closed now) any one of those streets up to Elliot. Next speed trap zone begins at Kerr and SW Marine Dr. right after the lights on the road beside the storage facility. And recently now as you go into the winding part of marine way towards boundary, bike cops set up speed traps for eastbound traffic. Heading westbound a speed trap is usually RCMP before boundary across from the auto shops on the left. All other areas are the same for both eastbound and westbound.
I’ve driven down marine dr all the way from Granville to Royal Ave in new west. I’ll make another entry for the rest another time.
