Located along E. H Street just east of Bonita Vista High School. Primarily catch traffic headed west but sometimes catch it going east at the same location. Very aggressive hand held radar. They hide in a residential driveway or in the center divider on foot. Cars pulled over in droves to write tickets. Usually 35MPH limit but 25 when school is in session. Easy pickins since traffic is usually 40-45.

E Street near 3rd Avenue heading east

Chula Vista, CaliforniaJan 08, 20080 Comments

Heading west on E street the posted speed limit is 30 MPH – the street is primarily commercial with strip malls, gas stations etc.(nearby residential streets have a 35 MPH limit). E street has a bend and a steep hill after the 1st Avenue intersection and it is at the bottom of this hill the trap is set up. The cop will stop the driver just before the MPH signage increases to 35 MPH

The Ca.Highway Patrol is very vigilent on this new toll road. The posted speed limit is 65mph however prior to crossing the long bridge the limit drops to 55mph. One can easily exceed the 55 limit because the road decends creating a speed trap.

Heading west off the the 805 freeway on "L" st. in Chula Vista. There is a 25mph zone going over a small hill about 2/10th of a mile west of 805. There are flashing yellow lights over head to warn you that the speed limit is 25mph. Most people are in to much of a hurry to pay attn. They are waiting 4 U on the other side… sometimes till 8:00pm

L Street near Interstate 805

Chula Vista, CaliforniaNov 17, 20070 Comments

Westbound L St between Nacian and Monserate, the speed limit is 25 mph due to it being a blind hill with side streets that are just past the crest of the hill. Police officers will set-up on the far side with Lidar, and wait for speeders to crest the hill, by the time you see them, it’s too late.
