El Cajon, California Speed Traps

Weld is a big darn hill and right before the Buck knife factory there is a side street with a block wall and the Bike CHP love it. Your going down hill and to stay at the posted 40 you have to ride the brakes. I got a ticket.

ECPD sits on the eatstbound (downhill) side of Fletcher Parkway. The speed limit is 50 and people tend to go 60+ because of the hill. Unfortunatley, when th cop is there they slow down to 35 or 40, not realizing they can go 50.

CHP camps out on the shoulder just out of sight to catch people driving on the shoulder that want to turn right on Grossomont College. Traffic really backs up so the temptation is very great. They have a crusier and 2 or 3 motorcycle units.

There are various contruction sites along old highway 80 due to the installation of fiber optic cables. Speed limits are 25mph through these areas. CHP enforces this heavily.
