Dickson Hill Road near El Camino Way

Fairfield, CaliforniaMar 09, 20080 Comments

Police vehicles sit on El Camino waiting for the morning traffic heading west to I-80. Sometimes there will be several police vehicles and usually at least 1 motorcycle. They are waiting for people to "roll" through the stop signs on Dickson Hill Road. Since there are several stop signs on Dickson Hill, by the time you get to this last stop sign before N. Texas street people tend to "roll" through. The police sit on El Camino, but because of the angle of the road, you cannot see them until you have already gone through the stop sign.

Interstate 80 near Red Top Road

Fairfield, CaliforniaDec 19, 20070 Comments

Numerous CHP units sit in wait on the on-ramp to I-80 from Red Top Road as airplanes or cruising units point out speeders as they descend the hill into Cordelia. By the time you see the cruisers, it is too late.

Rockville Road near Willottta Street

Fairfield, CaliforniaAug 25, 20074 Comments

Highway patrol sit at the corner of Willotta Dr. and Rockville Rd. during peak trafic hours sometimes 3-4 of them with radar, it is posted at 35mph and they have been hammering people for about a year now!

Waterman Boulevard near Oliver Road

Fairfield, CaliforniaJun 14, 20070 Comments

Two traps within a block or so from each other. It’s posted at 35, but cars routinely go over 40:
1) At the stop sign at Waterman and Oliver, a motorcycle cop sits amidst the shrubs on the south east side of the intersection. The cop is facing west. The best position to view him is when traveling east coming from Manka’s Corner, but people on westbound Waterman, and on Oliver don’t stand a chance.
2) Vista Grande right off Waterman (about a block east of Oliver). It’s usually a cycle cop, but they sit back from Waterman so by the time you go by westbound on Waterman, he’s already tagged you.

Airbase Parkway near Parker Road

Fairfield, CaliforniaMay 25, 20070 Comments

Rapidly decreasing speed limits -for no apparent reason other than approaching the airbase. Police postioned usually on motorcycles and parked on side of road hidden by roadside vegetation. Very tough trap
