Mentor Avenue near Del Mar Boulevard

Pasadena, CaliforniaOct 17, 20050 Comments

Southbound Mentor at Del Mar, there is a sign posted saying no right turn on red. It was 8pm on a Sunday night and I just got done dumping a ton of money at a restaurant. I didn’t see the signs and turned right – there were no headlights coming west on Del Mar. A young cop gave me a ticket even though I treated him with respect. This means that he was waiting for people to turn right against the red as he sat in the dark. All while "real" crimes are taking place in the city.

Colorado Boulevard near Exit Number San Rafael exit from 134 fwy

Pasadena, CaliforniaAug 20, 20050 Comments

West bound and East bound Colorado Blvd that runs parallel to the 134 between San Rafael and Figueroa. I have seen at least 2-3 motorcycle officers with radar parked on the side streets on various days.

Sierra Madre Boulevard near Eaton Cyn. Golf Course

Pasadena, CaliforniaJul 27, 20050 Comments

Heading W on Sierra Madre Blvd, just past the Madre St. intersection there is a downhill straight-away parralleling the golf course. Halfway between there and the Pasadena H.S., directly across from the Pearson’s Nursery entrance there is a huge bush planted in the large grassy center divider. A cycle cop will hide there and radar cars as they pass on either side of him (he’s completely hidden if you’re going W). Limit is 40, but it’s downhill so it’s easy to go over. He’s brutal, I constantly see him ticketing someone.
