Parker, Colorado Speed Traps
Parker Road heading north after Arapahoe
This speed trap is in the middle of the new construction on North Parker Road. Right before E-470. The cop/cops are hidden by construction trucks, tractors and workers where normal speed is 55 mph but drops to 40. Its very tempting to speed as this is a major road with little stopping traffic.
Jordan road between E-470 & Lincoln
Cops will often double team on this route, so even if you see one person pulled over… you are far from free. The speed limit is a fairly reasonable 40, but because it is fast, flat, and excellent visibility… most folks are generally going at least 50
State Highway 95 and Business 95
There are four law enforcement jurisdictions operating within the VERY EXTENDED city limits of Parker on Hwy 95, The CRIT indian police, La Paz County Sheriff, City of Parker, and State Troopers. This is also a training area for rookies in all jurisdiction to allow them to cut their teeth on the general public. They have several pull-outs and hide-behinds, and appear to prefer speedometer clocking to detectable devices, though their radar does work. Watch your speed and your mirror on both the main highway and the business route. The Fierro with the red light on the dash is especially cute.
