Windsor Road near Largo Drive

Savannah, GeorgiaJan 15, 20080 Comments

SCMPD sits with radar gun on side streets off of Windsor Road. Most of the road is 30 mph but where he was sitting it is 25 mph.

I know this road has houses and children playing on it, but it is a through road, and the kids should not be in the road anyway and people should not have to slow down this much.

US Highway 17 near Berwick Blvd and Quacco Road

Savannah, GeorgiaDec 01, 20070 Comments

Cops love to sit in the little alcoves between Berwick Marketplace and the Circle K on Quacco Rd. There are no posted speed limits between these points, so if you do not frequently travel Ogeechee Rd, you would not know that the speed limit is a mere 45 mph.

(U.S. Highway 17 – Ogeechee Rd.)

US Highway 17 near State Route 204

Savannah, GeorgiaSep 30, 20070 Comments

US 17 near GA 204 is always heavily infested with cops. The speed limit is 45 mph which is one of the most ridiculous speed limits I have ever seen for a four-lane road like this one. They are especially bad between 8 and 9 PM – you will almost always see blue lights when you drive through this area during those times!

Interstate 95 near Mile Marker near mile marker 106

Savannah, GeorgiaAug 02, 20071 Comments

When I was stopped the patrol cars were like a swarm of bees stopping several cars. At this point I had already slowed down and when I told the officer how fast I was going he told me that I was clocked at the overpass as I entered Savannah which was serval miles back. I did not even remember (at that point) going under an overpass.

King George Boulevard near US Highway 204

Watch out for a Savannah officer at this intersection during your morning rush, especially during the school year. Posted limit is 35, and there is also a red light camera at the intersection as well. Cop ususally sits out of site outside the gated community across from the Circle K.
