Kansas City, Missouri Speed Traps

NKC Police Officers like to sit just past Chauteau Trafficway on the East bound side of 210 Hwy. The road curves to the left, and they like to sit either on the side of the road halfway up the ramp and run radar. You can’t see them until it’s too late. Speed limit is 55 through there.

Southbound on Main st about 1 or 2 blocks south of Westport Rd, there is a School called St. Peters Episcopalian Day School. Since it is a school zone, motorcycle and cruiser units like to sit on the West side of the street and run radar. The speed limit is 25. If you get nailed there it will cost you about $377 so be careful. Mornings, lunch times, and afternoons.

I got stopped and written for 56 in a 45. Yea sure. I never saw a 45 MPH sign. There is NO construction there. Guess it was the out of state lisense plates. Too bad KC is in such a bad financial bind to need this kind of thievery.

I recived a ticket on I-29 where it goes from 65 to a dumb 55 going eastbound right where the I-635 interchange is. Just my thought, but I personally belive that it is wrong for cops to always be doing hit and runs with people. I mean if your going to do your job officers then do it all the time, don’t just do it at mass in the beginning and mainly at the end of the months to get your quotas. Of course this seems to benefit the cops im sure because people don’t see the officers for awhile so they start speeding a bit more with the other jerks that are always zooming by you when you are actually trying to do the speed limit so then of course you probably get caught and not the dude that always speeds.

The Missouri Highway Patrol will set up periodic speed enforcement on Northbound I-29, between Waukomis and I-635. This activity is usually observed during the AM and PM rush hours. They usually sit on the shoulder and run the radar equipment. Speed limit is 55 thorough the area, so heads up.
