W. Division Street near Cumberland Presbyterian Church

Mt. Juliet cops often sit in the parking lot of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. They also patrol this road to the county line where it becomes Chandler Road. Do note that in this speed trap city…signs read "25 MPH unless otherwise posted". Think about it…if you see no sign it is 25 MPH. I have seen one of this signs on the bottom of a curve warning sign. Beware of this rip-off!

North Mt. Juliet Road near State Highway 70

Mount Juliet, TennesseeSep 20, 20060 Comments

Highway 171 (commonly referred to as Mt. Juliet Road) is a 40mph zone for a span of roughly 2-3 miles from its intersection with highway 70 (Lebanon Rd.), up to the increase to 45mph. In the 40mph zone it is very smart to keep the speed under 50. It is Mt. Juliet so there isnt much activity and absolutely no traffic so the speed is easy to forget. During the late night hours it is not uncommon for a police car to be near the MJ skating rink, the bank across from Kroger (forgive me for the bad memory), or further up near Grace United Methodist Church near the library, when the road has a few hills.

Park Glenn Drive near Lebanon Road

The police officers sit behind the wall at the John Deere Dealership, across from Kangaroo gas station and hit the radar as you leave the subdivision ( Park Glenn). Past the speed limit sign you can be issued a ticket, as I did. In Mt. Juliet if a speed limit sign isn’t posted, the speed limit is 25 miles an hour, something I didn’t know.

Nonaville Road near Lebanon Road

Police cars sit in various places along the road and travel the road every day. The 35mpg speed is hard to maintain because of the hills on that road. Beware, they Will get you.
