SW 410 access road between Valley Hi Dr and HWY 90

San Antonio, TexasFeb 20, 20110 Comments

SAPD places 3-5 low-profile or unmarked cruisers in several of the church parking lots and pick off drivers on the access accelerating to merge onto Loop 410. They sit back out of view measuring speed then send a chase vehicle to cite the driver.

Fredericksburg and Hillcrest

This corner has cameras all over it and the traffic violation is caught on film the system mails you a photo of your car and the license plate about a month later. Now if you don’t know you were making a violation while turning, ticket after ticket shows up day after day, Thats the problem with these automated systems, I would like to be told i’m in violation so i can immediatly be aware and fix myself, like avoid that corner… but at least i wouldn’t have multiple tickets to pay.

Pue Rd between Kriewald & Ravenfield

San Antonio, TexasFeb 18, 20110 Comments

The cops like to hide on the side streets. Since this area is county and not city they stay hidden due to fence lines that are close to the road or even on vacant lots waiting to be built upon with radar guns (this I have seen). We just moved into the area and have heard from neighbors & construction crews that the cops in this area will pull you over for as much as one & two miles over the 30 MPH zone posted. No homes front this road and it should be a 35 to 40.

I-410 W to the I-10 loop

San Antonio, TexasFeb 18, 20112 Comments

Several unmarked vehicles parked daily on 410 from 410/35 heading to 410/10 loop. I commute daily and guarantee you they have someone pulled over. Speed limit posted is 60 but mostly traffic cruises around 65 mph. Just watch it, there is a unmarked regular mustang hanging around near the airport..

Lots of motorcycle patrol but also cruisers as well. This is definitely a speed trap
