State Route 100 at Reading/Tyson Road (Echo Lake Inn)

Plymouth, VermontAug 23, 20102 Comments

The Windsor County Sheriff regularly works this revenue spot for the Town of Plymouth. The speed drops from 50 MPH to 35 MPH and there are several hiding spots used bt Deputy Sheriffs to write tickets. The methodology is similar to the Route 100/Route 100A intersection area know as Plymouth Union.

Driving towards Killington from Ludlow on Route 100N, you enter the township of Plymouth, just after Route 100A intersects with Route 100. The speed limit changes to 35 mph from 50 mph for about 2 miles. The officer is behind the general store/gas station and based on personal experience and observations passing through that area, there is a high level of enforcement.

Was stopped because I failed to slow down for a Village speed limit posting…..there is no village here just a gas station & about 50 yards of 35 mph on a 50 mph road. Sheriff cars have been spotted several times at various point on Route 100…caution is advised.
