Kennewick, Washington Speed Traps
Chemical Drive, just past the fair grounds
The Benton Country Sheriff sits on the left side of the road in a gravel turn out just as you pass the fair gounds and are heading towards Finely. You cannot see him until its too late as you hit a peak of a hill and are going downhill towards him. The speed limit is 40 and does not turn to 50 until you wind the corner past where the Sheriff sits. Coming from Finely towards Kennewick is also dangerous because it goes from 50-40 in a short time and eventually to 35…
Hwy 204 Causeway, Richland Wye to 182
The newly widened 8-lane causeway is patrolled by State motorcycle patrols
and various unmarked cars (Volvo, Charger, Suburban, etc.) for the 2-mile,
60 MPH stretch. 70-to-60 MPH traffic from 182 from Richland is a target,
as well as traffic from Kennewick as it rounds the bend from 2-to-4 lanes.
Canal drive
Heading towards Kennewick, just as you go under the 395 over pass, they wait on the right side of the cross street ( quincy I believe) at the bottom of the hill.
395 and 7th
Cops will sit parked between trucks at the truck stop and radar the drivers going south.
Kellogg Street near 10th Avenue
The traps are located on Kellogg St south of 10th Ave. The police park the cul-de-sacs on the west side of the street hidden by foliage or blending in with parked cars.
