Motorcycle cop sits hidden behind trees near the corner looking for speeders coming down the hill on Peytonville and also people who roll the stop sign.

On Carroll near 114

Speed limit is 30 for the sole purpose of collecting revenue. It is a four lane road that should be at least 40 to 45. That being said, cop said I was going 46, which I wasn’t, and even had the wrong car and plate on my ticket. This has stopped any chance of me ever going to Southlake again to spend my hard earned money. I will not support a crooked town or a crooked police department.

On N. Carroll between RTE 114 and Dove Rd.

Motorcycle cop using radar North of school zone on Carroll Ave. I was Traveling South on Carroll from Dove Rd. at 43mph in a 30 mph zone. This a semi populated area with no posted speed zone sign in area traveled. Just came down Dove Rd. with a posted speed of 40 mph. After turning South onto Carroll, I saw no reason the limit should be any different. Wrong!. This out of state driver got no sympathy from the officer, However, was very courteous. This area must be a great revenue producer for Southlake.

Kimball Ave. north of Highway 114

This road has a 30 mph limit, in an area that seems reasonable to be more like a 45 area. It’s almost all commercial, with residential close by, but off the road. The 1.2 mile length from Highway 114 to Dove Road has a history with local residents of hidden radar traps.
