Duluth, Georgia Speed Traps
Pine Needle Drive near Abbotts Bridge Road
Duluth is a town to avoid. They use speed traps to supplement their revenue. No matter what the reason do not speed. This road is very narrow and the trap is on a blind down hill spot. The speed limit is 25 MPH so go that speed. Anything over that amount will cost you Big dollars.
singleton Road near Indian trail Road
I was ticketed by a DUI enforcement cop for speeding at 65 on a 40 zone.
Albion Farm Road near Duluth Parkway
The City of Duluth has set the speed limit on this road to 30MPH. It is a very busy road and surrounded by roads that have a 40MPH Speed Limit. It is a connector between Highway 120 (Duluth Highway) and Rogers Bridge Road. They sit anywhere on this road and nab people all day long as it is almost impossible to go 30MPH. It is all about the revenue with these yahoos. They ride BMW motorcycles and have more vehicles than you can imagine. A police force of 78 for a town of 20,000 people. They offer no mercy. They give tickets for going 4 Miles over the limit.
River Green Parkway near Soccer Fields
There is usually a trap here towards the end of the month, (revenue generator!). They love to sit back in the back of the businees park and nail people going over the posted speed of 25 miles/hour.
State Highway Buford near State Highway 120
Officer will radar your speed as you speed up out of the restricted zone and then tell you that you were clocked in the 35 mph zone. I was clocked at 54 in a 35. The officer followed me until the end of the 45 outside of town and clocked me there then stopped me and showed me the radar gun. I had three witnesses in the care with me.
