This is where Atlanta Road leads to Marietta Street heading towards downtown. Here is a 6 split direction stretch of road and the posted speed is 45. It is such a smooth ride most of the time that you can easily cruise up to 55, no problem and on the downhill travel areas is where they nab you. Be careful around this part of town

On East/West Connector approx 1 mile west of South Cobb drive. East bound traffic is watched as they come over the hill. Police use a turning lane in to an industrial park to stop people. Speed limit is 45, should be 55. I worked in the building nearby and watched them ticket 13 people within 1 hour.

Canton Road near Piedmont Road

Marietta, GeorgiaAug 09, 20070 Comments

Northbound Canton Rd approaching Piedmont Road intersection. Police are camped on the church lawn on the NW intersection corner pulling people over for 2 things: speeding as they are coming over the hill and also for entering the left turning lane too early. Don’t enter turn lane until the lane stripes indicate @ 100 feet or so.
