Lansing, Michigan Speed Traps
MLK Boulevard near Mt Hope Road
Between Mt Hope and Victor Ave police sit at the ends of the many streets of Colonial Village with radar guns thoughout the day. They are most frequent at the beginning and end of the month when officers need to meet their ticket quotas. The speed limit is 35 mph there though most cars go well over that.
Canal Road near Between Creyts and Saginaw Road
~School Zone~ There is a flashing yellow light warning people to slow down to 25 mph. This light is flashing from about 8:30am to 9:00 am and again when school usually lets out, not sure of the time. "EVERY" morning when I drive to work between Monday and Friday there is somebody pulled over
on occasion even 2 or more. Again I am not sure of the afternoon time but if you see that yellow light flashing you better slow down. Also there is the Delta Twp. Eaton County Sherriff Post 3/4 of a mile up the road. Corner of Canal and Saginaw.
Wilson Road near Bogue Street
MSUPD (motorcyle/SUV/sedan unit) sits up on sidewalk, usually on south side of Wilson, between Bogue St and Farm Ln, usually monitoring the eastbound traffic on Wilson.
Grand River Avenue near Abbott Road
ELPD and MSUPD usually work in team, with stationary radar/lidar unit contacting mobile unit. Do not go any over 25 MPH, as they are looking for ANY excuse to pull you over, in their search for drunk drivers after midnight (it’s a college town). Both east and west bound, but especially east bound. Especially on Wednesday, when several bars have "half-off" night.
Haslett Road near Hagadorn Road
ELPD usually sits on south side of Haslett (near Woodside Dr, Bakery(?) parking lot), monitoring eastbound traffic.
