Redford, Michigan Speed Traps

Cops sit on Garfield looking for speeders on the east bound service drive. They also make sure people come to a complete stop before making a left hand turn.

Sits in parking lot of Motel when you come over bridge you’re over 45 you’re caught.

North of 5 Mile rd. North of the park. Very hard to see patrol car until last second. Redford police will give tickets even a minor infraction (5 mi or less over the limit)

Police usually sit at one of two places along Inkster Road, traveling between 6 & 7 mile road. Speed is only 40mph through that stretch. Alot of people fly down there doing over 50mph – they will come after you. I’ve seen it happen many times to alot of drivers while driving home from work!

Most every morning there is a patrol car hid on the Inkster on ramp to I-96. This morning (06/30/2006) it was a Ford F-150 patrol truck. Very sneaky. My radar detector doesn’t always go off when I have them spotted so I can’t say what method is being used to prove speed.
