Minneapolis, Minnesota Speed Traps
62, 55, 5, 77, 494
The Minneapolis St. Paul airport police need to chill. All they seem to do now is run traffic on the surrounding roads. This happens at night esp. when there is no one at the airport so they have nothing to do. Surely things would be safer for the travelling public if they spent their time patrolling the 8th busiest airport in America.
Broadway Avenue near Wirth Parkway
Heading NW on Broadway/81 over the Lowry/Wirth&Memorial Parkways crossing, car is waiting in the center median aimed straight at you just as you crest the bridge, starting the downhill. Several mornings in a row.
Interstate 94 near Lowry Avenue
Anywhere north of downtown and south of 694. Commonly there will be a state trooper on the north side of the Lowry bridge. Sometimes there is one on the entrance ramp from downtown that comes into the main highway around Broadway.
State Highway 62 near 28th Avenue
Cops will sit just past the 28th Avenue overpass. This is a quiet section of freeway, and it’s tempting to go faster here, but resist the urge.
University Avenue near US Highway 280
If your going Hwy 280 South and take the University Exit and hang a right, the cops are sitting right by the KSTP Building on motorcycles/unmarked cars with Radar guns pointed right at you. (Am and Pm) Becareful and slow down it’s only 30 mph. (I got caught – don’t want you too)
